BITT - Become IT Trainer

This course helps professionals in public speaking and fulfils the Instructional Skills requirements to become a professional trainer.

This is a mandatory prerequisite to become a Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT).

You can find our Microsoft accreditation at this link.

Ugolopez.it offers the course Italian and English. You can choose between:

  1. classroom course, minimum 5 people
  2. online course (via Teams), miminum 5 people
  3. blended
  4. one-to-one course (classroom or online)
  5. course on customer’s premises

The classroom course is on a monthly basis.

GOALS

Essential training for instruction in educational activities oriented to technological applications

Instructors and aspiring instructors of computer, digital applications and technology courses

Active lecture, practice exercises

DURATION

2,5 days (first and second day: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., third day: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Italian time).

DELIVERY METHODS

Online on Microsoft Teams or similar, in-person on our premises in Bari (Italy) or on the client sites, blended

EXAM

Online test (attendance allowed only after 100% training participation and showcasing instructional skills with a positive evaluation)

CERTIFICATE

After completing the course, showcasing instructional skills in a demo and passing the exam, the student will receive a digital certificate.

This certificate is a mandatory prerequisite to become Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT)

Day 1 – Before the course

● 9:30 am – Introduction of the course, lecturer and participants
● 10:00 am – Course preparation: training program and content structuring
● 11:00 am – Coffee break
● 11:20 am – Readiness check: necessary tools and preparation of training materials
● 12:30 pm – Dealing with logistical problems: how to remove “SPoF” from teaching
● 1:00 pm – Lunch break
● 2:00 pm – Exercise – developing a training program
● 3:00 pm – Correction and discussion of the exercise
● 3:30 pm – Coffee break
● 3:50 pm – Exercise: preparation of training materials
● 4:30 pm – Correction and discussion of the exercise
● 5:00 pm – Conclusion and questions

Day 2 – During the course

● 9:30 am – Brief summary of the previous day
● 9:45 am – Teaching adults, professionals and teens: peculiarities of computer, digital and technology training
● 10:15 am – Learning psychology and storytelling: the power of storytelling in education
● 10:40 am – Coffee break
● 11:00 am – Verbal and nonverbal communication: carefully choosing clothing, gestures and language for effective and direct training
● 11:45 am – Customizing teaching and motivating students
● 11:30 am – Hints of public speaking and managing fears
● 12:00 pm – Advanced workshops and complex concepts: how to deal with them
● 12:30 pm – Handling student questions and critical relationship issues
● 1:00 pm – Lunch break
● 2:00 pm – Exercise: example of active lecturing
● 3:00 pm – Correction and discussion of the exercise
● 3:40 pm – Coffee break
● 4:00 pm – Exercise: example of online lecturing
● 4:30 pm – Correction and discussion of the exercise
● 5:00 pm – Conclusion and questions

Day 3 – After the course

● 9:00 am – Brief summary of the previous day
● 9:15 am – Training evaluation: preparing an effective evaluation survey
● 10:30 am – Coffee break
● 10:50 am – Interpreting feedback on the teacher, learning environment, learning aids, and planning actions to improve training
● 11:30 am – Exercise: analysis of a feedback
● 12:00 pm – Correction and discussion of the exercise
● 12:30 pm – Conclusion and questions
